The success story of Schock/Samcros GmbH began in 1946. In the post-war period, company founder Benjamin Schock applied for his business license under the name “Benjamin Schock Handelsvertretungen,” laying the foundation for a company that still stands for quality and innovative strength today. In the early 1950s, he began importing sesame halva. Shortly thereafter came the product that would shape the company to this day: the sesame brittle bar, which quickly established itself in the health food retail sector and remains closely associated with the Schock name.

In the 1980s, the company was continued and consistently developed by the second generation, led by Heinz Schock. What once began with door-to-door sales of a wide range of goods evolved into a diverse delicatessen assortment that was processed locally and distributed through various retail channels. From fine wines and Mediterranean specialties to high-quality delicacies, the range reflected a strong commitment to quality and enjoyment. At the same time, the focus increasingly shifted toward the production of premium confectionery for the health food retail sector – a segment that has been continuously expanded ever since.

Until 2021, Schock/Samcros GmbH was managed by the third generation. Throughout this time, the company remained true to its core values of quality, taste, innovation, flexibility, and service. Year after year, experience and know-how have been invested in further product development and new recipe ideas. The product range stands for mindful nutrition with carefully selected ingredients from both conventional and certified organic farming. Since the summer of 2003, a steadily growing organic range has complemented the portfolio.

Since 2021, Schock/Samcros GmbH has been part of LSH (Laurens Spethmann Holding). Being integrated into this strong corporate network opens up additional synergies in raw material expertise, product development, and innovation – while at the same time creating a solid foundation for sustainable growth and future-oriented snack concepts.

In 2026, Schock/Samcros GmbH looks back on 80 years of company history. Eight decades shaped by entrepreneurial courage, craftsmanship, and a passion for developing high-quality snacks – then as now, with the ambition to bring enjoyment and quality into perfect balance.
